Rain Chain Installation Kit

A rain chain installation kit gives your rain chain a secure attachment point and directs water cleanly from the gutter opening onto the chain for better flow and less runoff around the opening.

One kit is recommended for each rain chain. The rain chain hangs from the D-clip at the bottom of the kit, so the V-hook supplied with the chain is not needed.

Standard or Large?

Standard: Designed for typical gutter openings. The outlet is about 2 inches in diameter and an additional sleeve is included for larger openings. If cutting a new hole, use approximately a 2 1/4-inch round opening.

Large: For larger gutter openings and higher-volume applications. The outlet is 3 inches in diameter and the top plate is larger. If cutting a new hole, use approximately a 3 1/4-inch round opening. Measure your gutter first; the large kit will not fit every gutter.

Finishes

Choose pure unfinished copper, unfinished aluminum, or powder-coated aluminum in bronze, black or white. For best long-term performance, match the kit metal to the gutter metal—especially when working with copper and aluminum—to reduce galvanic corrosion.

Standard kit specifications: top 2 5/8" × 4 1/8"; outlet length 3"; outlet diameter 2 1/8" tapering to 1 7/8"; weight about 0.25 lb; sleeve 3 1/4" × 4 3/4".

Large kit specifications: top 7" × 4 3/8"; outlet height 3 1/2"; outlet diameter 3".

A small bead of exterior-grade silicone can be used to seal the kit to the gutter.
